Choosing a healthcare college in India requires more than securing admission. You and your parents need clear information about fees, clinical training, accommodation, food, safety, and recognition. If you are planning to study in India from Nepal, NSS Group of Institutions in Bangalore offers a healthcare-focused campus with arrangements for students moving from Nepal.
NSS has informed Smart Academy that around 70% of its current students are Nepali. This institution-reported estimate means you may study alongside classmates who share your language, festivals, food preferences, and experience of adjusting to life away from home.
Healthcare programs and practical learning
The NSS Group of Institutions program overview lists B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery, B.Sc Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc Renal Dialysis Technology, Diploma in Pharmacy, and paramedical diplomas.
NSS says learning includes clinical and para-clinical exposure in Bangalore. Its 2026–27 SAARC brochure displays an association with SPARSH Hospital, while information supplied to Smart Academy describes simulation laboratories for practicing procedures before working with patients. Ask which equipment, departments, hospitals, rotation hours, and supervision arrangements apply to your course.
If B.Sc Nursing is your priority, our B.Sc Nursing in India guide explains the admission and Nepal-side checks to complete before enrollment.
Simulation-based and clinical training
Healthcare students need to practice before working directly with patients. Based on information NSS supplied to Smart Academy, the institution provides simulation laboratories where students can develop clinical procedures in a controlled setting.
NSS also says its programs combine clinical postings with discipline, compassion, and professional responsibility. Its official overview describes hospital-based clinical and para-clinical exposure in Bangalore and states that a 1,608-bed hospital is located on the main campus near the nursing college.
Hostel packages with food
The NSS hostel information is supplemented by three published accommodation-and-food packages, each covering 10 months:
- Standard four-sharing: ₹65,000 per year
- Premium four-sharing: ₹80,000 per year
- Premium two-sharing: ₹95,000 per year
Additional charges include a refundable ₹10,000 caution deposit and ₹3,000 for hostel materials and an ID card in the first year, plus maintenance of ₹250 per month.
The brochure describes a student lounge with a smart TV, refrigerator, washing machine, and self-cooking area; quiet and group-study spaces; and Nepali, South Indian, and North Indian meals. It also lists a 24-hour warden, security, CCTV, laundry support, and housekeeping. Confirm current availability, room allocation, security arrangements, and hostel rules in writing.
A seven-day menu with familiar Nepali food
The supplied food menu shows a rotating week based on familiar staples such as rice, dal, vegetables, pickle, and papad. Breakfasts include poori with channa, black channa with potato, puffed rice, chapati with green-pea curry, bread with an omelet or banana alternative, and dosa with black channa.

Selected dinners include vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. Wednesday lists chicken curry with paneer, mushroom, or cauliflower alternatives. Saturday lists ghee rice and chicken kebab with vegetarian alternatives. Tea and biscuits appear as the regular evening snack.
A familiar menu may make your daily adjustment easier, but food schedules can change. Confirm the current rotation, portions, meal times, vegetarian-food handling, and support for dietary or medical needs. NSS has also told Smart Academy that an on-campus cafe provides snacks and refreshments.
Nepali community and campus life
A substantial Nepali peer group can reduce the isolation of moving abroad. Senior students may help you understand hostel routines, clinical schedules, and daily life in Bangalore.
The NSS campus facilities page lists a library, computer laboratory, auditorium, transportation, sports, and cultural programs. NSS has also shared that student life includes cultural celebrations, sports days, and DJ nights, creating opportunities to make friends beyond your course.

What you and your parents should verify
NSS lists affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approval or recognition from relevant Indian and Karnataka bodies. Request current evidence for your exact program, intake, and academic year.
If you plan to work in Nepal, separately confirm Medical Education Commission requirements, academic equivalency, the No Objection Certificate process, and eligibility for registration with the relevant Nepali professional council. Admission does not automatically establish professional registration in Nepal.
The NSS international-admission page lists mark sheets, transfer records, proof of date of birth, and photographs. Our nursing study-abroad document checklist can help you prepare, but the college must confirm the final list.
Is NSS the right fit for you?
NSS may suit you if you want healthcare-focused study, clinical and simulation-based learning, a substantial Nepali community, published hostel packages, and familiar meals. Also consider excluded charges, current recognition, clinical arrangements, hostel rules, and your future registration pathway.
At Smart Academy, we help you and your parents review these details before you commit to studying in NSS. Message our counselors on WhatsApp to discuss your eligibility, complete budget, documents, and NSS application.
