Bishal Sapkota
Founder, CEO & Director of Smart Educational Academy
Introduction
Bishal Sapkota is the Founder and CEO of Smart Educational Academy, an institution he established in 2021 with a powerful belief that every Nepali student deserves access to quality education, the right guidance, and the opportunity to dream bigger.
What began as a small online class focused on agriculture entrance preparation has grown into a team of 50+ professionals operating out of a physical office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, supporting students through nursing licensure, DHA licensing, nursing registration, and study abroad counselling.

Credentials & Background
Bishal completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Lamjung Campus, Tribhuvan University, where he first discovered his passion for helping fellow students. Later, he pursued his Master of Business Administration from APIC College in Melbourne, Australia, which gave him a broader perspective on how education and business can work together to create real impact.
He is a QEAC Certified Education Agent and British Council UK-trained agent, but more importantly, he is someone students trust. As Operations Manager and Education Counsellor at BMW Educational Consultancy in Melbourne, he bridges the gap between Nepal and Australia, bringing a practical, cross-border perspective that actually helps students make better decisions.
Beyond degrees and certificates, Bishal is the founder of United Youth For Nation (UYN), a youth-focused initiative close to his heart, and has been part of Amnesty International. It is this mix of academic learning, business thinking, and hands-on community work that shapes how Smart Educational Academy works—student first, always.
Bishal's Path to Smart Educational Academy
Born and raised in Gulariya, Bardiya, Bishal has been a driven, impact-oriented, and community-minded individual from an early age. During his early years in Kathmandu, he actively participated in social campaigns including earthquake relief efforts and community cleanliness drives, a reflection of the leadership and empathy that would later define his professional journey.
His entrepreneurial path began during his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Lamjung Campus, Tribhuvan University, where he founded Smart Agriculturist, a student-led network that grew to over 2,000 agriculture students across Nepal, offering courses, study materials, and entrance preparation support. He also developed the Smart Agriculturist mobile app, founded United Youth For Nation, and co-founded the Hamro Nepal Cricket App.
Beyond academics, he volunteered with Amnesty International and contributed to national humanitarian efforts, including flood relief distribution for victims of the Saptari and Fattepur floods and fundraising campaigns for disaster-affected communities.
Smart Educational Academy started with online classes focused on agriculture entrance preparation before Bishal formally established a physical office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Driven by a commitment to continuous student welfare and service, he expanded the institution's offerings to include nursing licence preparation, supporting students from the earliest stages of their BN form fill-up through their results, and gradually built programs around DHA licensing, nursing registration, and study abroad counselling.
Today, Smart Educational Academy operates with a team of 50+ professionals, while Bishal continues his dual role as Operations Manager and Education Counsellor at BMW Educational Consultancy in Melbourne, bringing a cross-border perspective to counselling in Nepal and Australia.
How Bishal Leads Smart Educational Academy
Beyond his role as an educator and institution builder, Bishal is deeply passionate about technology, digital marketing, and product development. From building the Smart Agriculturist mobile app during his bachelor’s years to managing large-scale Meta ad campaigns and growing digital communities with millions of impressions, he brings a combination of technical thinking and human-centered leadership to the academy.
