About Aditya College of Nursing

Aditya College of Nursing opened in 2003 on Kogilu Main Road in Yelahanka, in the north of Bangalore. It belongs to Aditya Institutions, a group founded in 1998 that also runs pharmacy and management colleges. The nursing campus is compact, around one acre according to published listings.

The college teaches the whole nursing ladder. GNM is the three-year diploma, BSc Nursing the four-year degree, Post Basic BSc a two-year degree for qualified GNM nurses, and MSc Nursing the two-year master’s. The degrees are awarded by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Your clinical training runs as block postings at affiliated hospitals across 12 specialities, from medicine and surgery to cardiology, neurology and nephrology. Your internship is at K.C. General Hospital, a large government hospital, and Navachetan Hospital.

Yelahanka is on the airport side of Bangalore, which makes the journey from Kathmandu shorter at both ends. The college suits you if you want a smaller campus in a quieter part of the city.

Is Aditya College of Nursing recognized in Nepal?

Your qualification needs to be recognized in India and then in Nepal. Nepal’s side has one step you must take before you leave home.

In India. RGUHS awards the BSc, Post Basic BSc, and MSc degrees. The college states that it is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, the Karnataka State Nursing Council, and the Government of Karnataka. You or your parents can check its current status on the INC’s list of recognized nursing institutions before you pay any fee.

In Nepal. You can’t practice as a nurse on a foreign qualification alone. You must register with the Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) and pass its licensing examination. The NNC asks anyone who studied outside Nepal on or after 01/10/2020 to submit an eligibility letter from Nepal’s Medical Education Commission (MEC) with their licensing exam application, along with equivalence and evidence of the college’s recognition. Arrange the MEC letter before you pay fees or travel. Our guide to BSc Nursing in India for Nepali students walks through each Nepal-side step in order.

In India, after graduating. Indian Nursing Council guidance says foreign nationals, including Nepali citizens, who study nursing in India are not registered with an Indian State Nursing Registration Council for employment. Plan on using your qualification in Nepal or abroad.

Beyond Nepal. An INC-recognised BSc Nursing is the usual starting point for the UK, Gulf and US routes. Each has its own registration exam and English test.

Why choose Aditya College of Nursing — and who it suits

Reasons you can check yourself:

  • More than 20 years of nursing batches. The college has taught nursing since 2003.
  • Every level in one place. GNM, BSc, Post Basic BSc and MSc are all taught here, so a GNM can lead to a degree without changing college.
  • A government hospital in your training. Your internship includes K.C. General Hospital, where you see the volume and variety of a public hospital.
  • A wide speciality list. Block postings cover 12 specialities, including psychiatry, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology and nephrology.
  • Hostel and mess on campus, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

It may not suit you if:

  • Your NEB marks are close to 45%. Aditya asks for 50% combined in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English for BSc, which is higher than the national minimum.
  • You want your own hospital on campus. Aditya trains you at affiliated hospitals, so expect travel to postings.
  • You’re nervous about patients speaking other languages. Teaching is in English, but many patients speak Kannada, Tamil, Telugu or Hindi. You’ll need working phrases in your first clinical year.

Published listings give five MSc specialties with five seats each: Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatric, Community Health, and Pediatric Nursing. For Post Basic BSc and MSc, the college asks foreign nationals for nurse registration from their own country, so a Nepali applicant needs Nepal Nursing Council registration. Degree exams are set by RGUHS.

If your marks point you toward the diploma rather than the degree, our GNM nursing in India explains how the route works for Nepali students.

Aditya College of Nursing fees for Nepali students — the full cost

Aditya doesn’t publish its fees. The figures below come from a third-party listing (Collegedunia, 2025 data). Treat them as a planning guide, and we’ll get the college’s written fee schedule before you pay anything. NPR is converted at the fixed Nepal Rastra Bank rate of INR 1 = NPR 1.60.

Source: Collegedunia, 2025 data, accessed 07/10/2026. These figures aren’t confirmed by the college, don’t include hostel, and may not reflect any fee set for foreign applicants. The BSc range is too wide to plan around, so ask us for the current figure.

What is not included:

  • Hostel and mess charges, which no source publishes
  • Uniforms, books and university registration charges
  • Travel home, especially at Dashain and Tihar, when fares are highest
  • Personal spending, medical insurance, and Nepal-side paperwork such as the MEC letter and attestation

For parents: build a full-program budget before you leave. Nursing means classes, labs, and hospital postings, so your son or daughter shouldn’t rely on part-time work to pay for tuition or living costs. If the upper end of the BSc range is beyond your budget, compare these lower-cost BSc Nursing colleges in India before you decide.

Scholarships: Aditya doesn’t publish any scholarships for international students.

Refunds depend on the case and the stage of admission. Ask our counselors before you pay anything.

Clinical training, internship and where this degree takes you

For a nursing student, the hospitals you train in matter more than the buildings. Aditya runs block postings at affiliated hospitals, covering:

  • Psychiatry
  • Cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery
  • Neurology, nephrology and diabetology

Your internship is at K.C. General Hospital, a large government hospital in Malleswaram, and Navachetan Hospital, Bangalore.

Where the degree takes you. Aditya doesn’t publish placement data, so we don’t quote a placement rate. These are the routes:

  • Nepal: register with the Nepal Nursing Council after passing its licensing exam.
  • India: INC guidance says foreign nationals aren’t registered with Indian State Nursing Councils for employment.
  • Abroad: the UK, Gulf and US routes start from an INC-recognised degree, plus that country’s own exam and English test.

Hostel, safety and campus facilities

Your parents will want to know where you sleep and who looks after you. Aditya’s hostel is on campus, and the college lists:

  • A mess next to the hostel, serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian food

Getting to Bangalore from Nepal — and life once you are there

Flying is the practical route. Bangalore is about 1,800 km from Kathmandu by air. Nepal Airlines flies non-stop to Kempegowda International Airport in about 3 hours 25 minutes, and Air India Express lists a non-stop service from 25/10/2026. Other routes connect through Delhi or Kolkata. Check schedules before you book. Yelahanka sits between the airport and the city centre, so your road journey to campus is shorter than to most Bangalore colleges.

Documents to travel. Nepali citizens don’t need a visa to study in India. Travel on your passport. The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi lists either the passport or the citizenship certificate as valid for air travel to India, but at least one airline accepts only a passport or voter ID from adults.

Daily life. Bangalore is mild all year. Kannada is the local language, and English and Hindi are widely used. Get an Indian SIM card in your first week.

Is the BSc Nursing from Aditya College of Nursing valid in Nepal?

RGUHS awards the degree, and the college states that it is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Karnataka State Nursing Council. To work in Nepal, you register with the Nepal Nursing Council after passing its licensing exam. You’ll also need an eligibility letter from Nepal’s Medical Education Commission, so arrange it before you leave.

What NEB marks do I need for BSc Nursing at Aditya?

Aditya asks for 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and at least 50% combined in those subjects, which is higher than the national 45%. You must be 17 by 31 December of your joining year. Send us your marksheet on WhatsApp, and we’ll check it.

How many seats are there?

Aditya publishes an annual intake of 60 for BSc Nursing, 40 for GNM, 50 for Post Basic BSc and 25 for MSc Nursing. With a mid-sized batch, apply early in the cycle rather than waiting for the deadline.

How much does Aditya cost?

Aditya doesn’t publish fees. A 2025 Collegedunia listing gives GNM at INR 2.6 lakh, Post Basic BSc at INR 1.9 lakh and MSc at INR 2.3 lakh in total, but only a wide range for BSc. We get the college’s written fee sheet before you pay.

Where will I do my clinical training?

You do block postings at affiliated hospitals across 12 specialties, including cardiology, neurology, and psychiatry. Your internship is at K.C. General Hospital, a large government hospital, and Navachetan Hospital. Aditya doesn’t have its own hospital on campus, so expect to travel to postings.

Is there a hostel on campus?

Yes. The hostel is on campus with a visitors’ lounge, study and prayer halls and a recreation room, and the mess serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Listings say there are hostels for boys and girls. We confirm room sharing and warden arrangements before you pay.

Do I need IELTS or PTE?

No. Neither Aditya nor the Indian Nursing Council lists an English test for admission, and you’re taught in English. You’ll only need IELTS, OET or a similar test later if you register as a nurse in the UK, the Gulf or another English-speaking country.

Can I do Post Basic BSc at Aditya after my GNM in Nepal?

Yes, if you’re a registered nurse and midwife. Aditya asks foreign nationals for nurse registration from their own country, so you need Nepal Nursing Council registration, a GNM after 10+2, and to be 48 or under.

Can I work as a nurse in India after graduating?

Don’t plan on it. Indian Nursing Council guidance says foreign nationals, including Nepali citizens, who study nursing in India are not registered with an Indian State Nursing Council for employment. Most students register in Nepal or start an overseas route.

Do I need a visa to study in India from Nepal?

No. Nepali citizens don’t need a visa to study in India. Travel on your passport. The Embassy of Nepal also lists the citizenship certificate for air travel, but some airlines accept only a passport or voter ID for adults.

When do admissions close?

For 2026–27, the Indian Nursing Council’s final admission date is 31/10/2026, though colleges can fill their seats earlier. The academic year starts on 1 August. Message us on WhatsApp for Aditya’s dates for the next intake.
