Academic Eligibility

Undergraduate: Higher Secondary Examination with a minimum grade of 65%. Law and Architecture require a minimum of 75%.

Postgraduate: a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 65%, which Greenwich maps to a UK 2:2 classification. A minimum of 80% maps to a UK 2:1. Courses that specify a 2:1 entry requirement therefore need 80%, not 65%.

Some courses require relevant subjects studied at school, college or university level. The Greenwich admissions team determines subject suitability after an application is submitted.

English Language Requirements

Greenwich sets English language requirements by faculty, with named exceptions for individual courses, rather than applying one score across the university. IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted, with the expiry date calculated from the original test rather than the retake.

The UK government has confirmed the regulated home undergraduate rate will rise to £10,050 for 2027/28. International fees sit outside this regulation and are set by the university, rising annually in line with RPI-X. MPharm fees at the Medway School of Pharmacy follow separate rules, rising by no more than RPI plus 3%, and are published on msp.ac.uk.

Deposit Requirement

International students pay a £3,000 deposit to secure a place. Payment must go through the university’s official Flywire platform and must clear into the Greenwich bank account by the stated deadline. Payments made outside Flywire are not accepted, and the deposit cannot be substituted by a scholarship award. •           These awards cannot be combined. A student receiving the Early Applicant Scholarship is ineligible for the International Scholarship Award, and the reverse applies.
•           All require the full £3,000 deposit paid via Flywire by the stated deadline.
•           All are tied to the September intake and are non-deferrable. Deferring to January or a later year forfeits the award.
•           For 2026 entry, the Early Applicant Scholarship required a UCAS application by 14 January 2026 or a direct application by 27 March 2026, with the deposit paid by 3 June 2026 or 1 May 2026 respectively.
•           Sponsored students, partner-course students including UGIC, and students on MRes, PhD, MPhil, Cert HE, PGCE or Greenwich Online courses are excluded from several of these awards.

Subject-specific support: Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Science students may receive at least £5,000 a year in additional support that does not require repayment. This is NHS Learning Support Fund money administered by the UK government, and eligibility depends on residency status. Most international students on a Student visa do not qualify.
