Exam rules
- 150 multiple-choice questions, 165 minutes, in English, no negative marking. Never leave a blank.
- Pass marks differ by profession: Registered Nurses 50% (75/150), Assistant Nurses 45%, GPs, dentists and pharmacists 60%, lab technicians 55%, specialists 60–75% depending on specialty.
- Results appear in your Sheryan account within about 2 working days as Pass or Fail only — no score, no subject breakdown.
- The current DHA licensing manual allows three attempts to pass, across the UAE health authorities — this is a total, not three per year. After three failures you need either an additional recognised qualification or at least two years of licensed clinical experience gained after the last failed attempt, then a new application and DHA review.
- Cancellation or non-attendance is not counted as a failed attempt under the current manual, though booking and cancellation fees still apply.
