Bishal Sapkota is the Founder and CEO of Rising Smart Educational Academy, an institution he established in 2021 with a powerful belief that every Nepali student deserves access to quality education, the right guidance, and the opportunity to dream bigger.
Born and raised in Gulariya, Bardiya, Bishal has been a driven, impact-oriented, and community-minded individual from an early age. During his early years in Kathmandu, he actively participated in social campaigns including earthquake relief efforts and community cleanliness drives, a reflection of the leadership and empathy that would later define his professional journey.
Bishal began his entrepreneurial path during his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Lamjung Campus, Tribhuvan University. It was here that he founded Smart Agriculturist, a student-led network that grew to over 2,000 agriculture students across Nepal, offering courses, study materials, and entrance preparation support. He also developed the Smart Agriculturist mobile app, founded United Youth For Nation, and co-founded Hamro Nepal Cricket App. Beyond academics, he volunteered at Amnesty International and contributed to national-level humanitarian efforts, including flood relief distribution for victims of Saptari and Fattepur floods and fundraising campaigns for disaster-affected communities.
Starting with online classes focused on agriculture entrance preparation, Bishal steadily grew the academy and formally established a physical office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Driven by a commitment to continuous student welfare and service, he expanded the institution’s offerings to include nursing licence preparation, supporting students from the very early stages of their BN form fill-up and results, and gradually built programs around DHA licensing, nursing registration, and study abroad counselling.
He has since completed his Master of Business Administration from APIC College, Melbourne, Australia. A QEAC Certified Education Agent Counsellor and UK Trained Agent certified by the British Council, Bishal has built a career spanning education counselling, digital marketing, and business development across Nepal and Australia, simultaneously serving as Operations Manager and Education Counsellor at BMW Educational Consultancy in Melbourne while leading Rising Smart Educational Academy.
Today, what began as a small online class has grown into a team of 50+ professionals, a testament to Bishal’s vision, relentless work ethic, and dedication to student success. Beyond his role as an educator and institution builder, Bishal is deeply passionate about technology, digital marketing, and product development. From building the Smart Agriculturist mobile app during his bachelor’s years to managing large-scale Meta ad campaigns and growing digital communities with millions of impressions, he brings a rare combination of technical thinking and human-centered leadership to everything he does. Currently based in Australia, he continues to lead his team, counsel students, and drive expansion into new regions, building on the academy’s mission to reach more students, open new offices, and become the most trusted name in education counselling across Nepal and beyond.
