GNM Nursing is a 3 to 3.5-year diploma course that prepares students to become qualified bedside nurses and active members of healthcare teams. The program focuses on patient care, clinical skills, and medical knowledge through subjects such as anatomy, midwifery, community health nursing, and first aid. Students also undergo structured clinical training in hospital wards, maternity units, and community health centers, where they apply nursing procedures and develop hands-on experience under supervision.
To apply, a student must complete 10+2 from a recognized board with 40–50% marks, be at least 17 years old. Students from any educational background can study GNM Nursing. After graduating, students get the opportunity to work as staff nurses, clinical nurses, community health workers, home nurses, and nursing assistant educators in hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and primary healthcare settings, where they deliver patient care and support healthcare services.
